  From pleasure boat

to cargo sailer

 

Finally, V-REX Cargo will enable freight to be transported twice or three times faster as fast as regular cargo vessels can do this.
It takes three steps of development, all based on our patented technology.

1.

  V-REX SPORT

Inland & Coastal Racer

 

This 10-meter-long sailboat has an extremely slim hull, aerodynamic stabilization surfaces, as well as a canard wing at the bow, which keep the V-REX in its stable sailing position. Additional water tanks attached to the ends of the stabilization wings create an enormous amount of sail pressure and thus more propulsion. Another significant feature are the long hydrofoils, which once activated, allow the hull to float up to three meters above the water surface. The two-man crew sits safely and centrally in a cockpit and helm V-REX with steering elements similar to those found in an airplane.

2.

  V-REX OFFSHORE

Racer & Record Chaser

 

This is a larger version of the coastal sports boat with a length of around 16 meters. While regular high-tech offshore racer have to overcome the massive structural forces on their dagger boards, hydrofoils and canting keels, the V-REX offshore leans into windward and reduces the loads on its foils. Due to their length, the hydrofoils of V-REX Offshore have the advantage that they lift the hull above the waves and the hull of the V-REX is thus no longer subject to water resistance. While on other offshore boats the hydrofoils have to withstand loads up to three times the weight of the hull, the loads on the hydrofoils on V-REX are dramatically reduced due to its windward position. Stabilisation wings, canard wings and of course the entire sail area gives V-REX additional stabilisation.

  V-REX CARGO

Emission free cargo sailer

 

V-REX Cargo will transport goods three times the speed of conventional cargo ships and because of that it could be also an alternative to the very expensive air freight. Once V-REX Cargo is built, it will be 100 % energy-autonomous and never use other energy sources than its self-produced energy by wind, water and photovoltaic.
